An exciting update on Simply Belonging and Burning Bluegrass! Remember these two mares who sadly ended up in the kill pen very shortly after their most recent races at Mountaineer. We were so grateful for the support from all of you to help these horses out of a bad situation, and through their quarantine and rehabilitation. The great news is, we’ve found wonderful a forever home for Burning Bluegrass. Unfortunately, the adoption for Simply Belonging did not work out, so we are still looking for a forever home for her.
Burning Bluegrass was adopted by Susan Mitchell of the US Horse Welfare and Rescue, Inc. ( https://ushorsewelfare.org). They are another 501(c)3) organization that greatly appreciates your donations. Please go to their website for updates on Burning Bluegrass (they have given her the ban name of Meadow) and to make a donation if you can.
Keep an eye out for us for a home for Simply Belonging, and thanks for your support!
